TTD to Implement AI for Pilgrim Services with Google

The Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Trust Board is set to become the first Hindu temple trust globally to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into its pilgrim services. Partnering with Google, the initiative aims to enhance the pilgrim experience by optimizing crowd management and reducing wait times for free darshan of Lord Venkateswara.

Following a board meeting in Tirumala, Chairman B R Naidu emphasized that the AI-driven approach will streamline temple operations while improving service delivery to millions of devotees. By leveraging AI-powered analytics, the temple can predict visitor flow, optimize queue management, and ensure a more organized darshan process.

Major Resolutions and Budgetary Announcements

In addition to the AI partnership, the TTD board approved a budget of ₹5,258.68 crore for FY 2025-26, focusing on land protection, temple expansion, and infrastructure projects. Among the key resolutions:

  • Land Reclamation & Protection: TTD revoked the 35-acre land allocation to Mumtaz Hotels and Devlok projects along the Alipiri–Cherlopalli road. Additionally, it will reclaim 15 acres of land from AP Tourism.

  • Hindu Dharma Compliance: All TTD employees must strictly adhere to Hindu religious practices. Employees of other faiths will be reassigned to alternative departments.

  • Nationwide Temple Construction: TTD will build temples in all state capitals, with land allocation requests submitted to the Chief Minister.

  • Revival of Stalled Temple Projects: The board resolved to resume incomplete temple projects and offer financial aid for new temple constructions in remote and underprivileged areas.

New Temple Trust for Expansion and SRIVANI Fund Merger

To streamline temple funding and expansion, TTD announced the creation of a new trust to oversee temple construction in India and abroad. The existing SRIVANI Trust, which currently holds ₹1,400 crore, will be merged into this new entity for better resource allocation and management.

A Tech-Driven Future for Religious Management

The adoption of AI in religious governance marks a transformative shift in temple administration and pilgrim experience management. By combining technology with spiritual traditions, TTD is setting a precedent for efficient, data-driven religious services.

As the temple trust integrates AI into its management framework, this initiative could redefine how religious institutions leverage modern technology to enhance devotee engagement, infrastructure planning, and spiritual accessibility.
