E-commerce enablement platform Shiprocket has unveiled India’s first AI-integrated Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, a major milestone in the country’s transition toward autonomous digital commerce. The launch comes as Shiprocket prepares for its upcoming IPO and deepens its focus on enterprise tech innovation.
The MCP server allows AI agents to execute core e-commerce functions—such as checking shipping rates, updating inventory, and tracking orders—using just a single line of instruction. This significantly reduces the need for manual intervention across common operational workflows.
Autonomous infrastructure tailored for growing businesses
The innovation is aimed particularly at direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), which often face challenges in scaling logistics and backend functions. Shiprocket claims that the server enables faster execution, seamless system integration, and hands-free operations—all while maintaining enterprise-grade security.

With this rollout, the company seeks to shift from reactive, manual systems to proactive AI-driven execution. The platform’s AI agents are designed not only to assist but to autonomously manage tasks, reflecting a new paradigm in commerce infrastructure.
AI that executes, not just assists
Shiprocket’s Managing Director and CEO Saahil Goel described the launch as more than just a technical upgrade. “This is more than just an integration, it’s a new interface for e-commerce,” he said. “We’re enabling a world where AI doesn’t just support business decisions—it executes them.”
The server is expected to play a key role in scaling Shiprocket’s capabilities and positioning it as a leader in AI-native commerce tools. It also reinforces the company’s broader strategy of enabling millions of Indian businesses to operate smarter and more efficiently in an increasingly digital retail environment.
As AI adoption accelerates across logistics and commerce, the MCP server represents a new layer of intelligent infrastructure designed to reduce friction, improve speed, and future-proof business operations.
