Intel, IndiaAI Launch Initiative to Boost AI Skills Nationwide

Intel India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the IndiaAI Mission to launch a broad initiative aimed at strengthening artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities and skills across the country. The partnership focuses on preparing young individuals, professionals, startups, and public sector leaders to harness AI for societal advancement and governance excellence.

Focused Collaboration for AI Skilling and Innovation

Under the MoU, Intel India and the IndiaAI Mission will jointly promote initiatives designed to cultivate AI expertise across diverse segments of society. The collaboration seeks to create a national framework that boosts AI adoption, fosters innovation, and drives impactful social outcomes.

The partnership will target four major initiatives:

  • YuvaAI: Developed under Intel’s AI for Youth program, this initiative will enable school students to create AI-based solutions for social good.

  • StartupAI: AI startups will gain access to cutting-edge technology, business mentoring, and go-to-market support through Intel’s Startup Program, featuring both group sessions and personalized mentorship.

  • IndiaAI Dialogues: Tailored workshops will build AI readiness among public sector leaders and policymakers, promoting informed, technology-driven governance.

  • Bhashini Expansion: The initiative will support scaling Bhashini’s language platform to remote classrooms, bridging language barriers and improving education outcomes.

Strengthening Data Skills and Building Future Leaders

Speaking on the partnership, Abhishek Singh, Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and CEO of the IndiaAI Mission, emphasized the importance of the collaboration. “The partnership is helping set up data labs to train youth in data science and Artificial Intelligence,” he said.

Singh also highlighted the early successes of the collaboration: “Our partnership with Intel for YuvaAI has helped train thousands of students in the basics of Artificial Intelligence. We look forward to working with Intel to bring the best of their global technical expertise to the IndiaAI Mission.”
