EY has announced the launch of its AI Academy in India, aiming to help enterprises equip their workforce with critical AI capabilities. The move follows EY’s internal success in upskilling over 44,000 employees and is now being extended to external clients across sectors including telecom, banking, infrastructure, and FMCG.
The programme includes project-based training modules built on over 200 real-world use cases, covering a spectrum of AI applications—from foundational models to advanced generative AI. These modules are designed to address specific industry needs and deliver measurable business outcomes such as revenue growth, cost efficiency, risk mitigation, and enhanced customer experience.
Multi-track model targets diverse roles
The academy’s offerings are categorised by role and depth of skill:
AI Ambassadors (for leadership): Craft AI manifestos aligned with business objectives.
AI Transformation Champions: Lead project execution under leadership guidance.
AI Aspirants: Receive fundamental training in prompting and AI basics.
AI Development & Implementation Specialists: Deep-skill programmes for technical teams like data scientists and GenAI engineers.
In a recent pilot across five enterprises, EY reported over 50 new AI projects launched and the development of leadership-driven AI roadmaps as a result of the academy training.

EY expands AI commitment with $1.4B investment
The academy reflects EY India’s broader focus on AI enablement, following the firm’s $1.4 billion commitment to AI over five years. Anurag Malik, Partner and Leader – People Consulting Services, highlighted that 97% of enterprises identify talent gaps as a key adoption barrier and that AI may reshape 38 million jobs by 2030.
EY’s AI Academy aims to close this gap with a structured, outcome-driven approach, while also contributing to broader AI readiness through academic outreach programmes like Techathon.
