Global capability centre (GCC) specialist ANSR has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Government of Andhra Pradesh to establish a new GCC innovation hub in Visakhapatnam. The facility, located in the Madhurawada IT Cluster, is expected to create over 10,000 high-value jobs over the next five years, making it one of the state’s largest digital infrastructure projects.
The MoU was formalised in the presence of Nara Lokesh, Minister for IT, Electronics and Communications, and supported by the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB). The project aligns with the state’s IT & GCC Policy 4.0, which aims to attract global investment and position Andhra Pradesh as a digital innovation hub.

Global partnerships and infrastructure support
ANSR will tap into its global network—including partners like Accenture and ServiceNow—to attract international firms and enhance the project’s visibility. The innovation campus will feature modern workspaces for multinational clients, training centres, labs, delivery centres, and round-the-clock business continuity services.
To support execution, the APEDB and APIIC will coordinate land allocation, facilitate clearances, and provide policy support. ANSR’s founder and CEO Lalit Ahuja called it a step toward “architecting the future of global capability distribution,” while state officials highlighted the project’s potential to bring employment, innovation, and global recognition to Vizag.
Driving GCC expansion from Tier 2 India
India’s GCC landscape has matured significantly, with Tier 2 cities like Vizag emerging as competitive alternatives to traditional metros. The planned infrastructure in Madhurawada is expected to draw both IT/ITES clients and digital-first global enterprises seeking scalable talent and cost-efficient operations.
The ANSR–Andhra Pradesh collaboration represents a new chapter in decentralised tech innovation, where government support and industry expertise converge to make Tier 2 India a hotbed for high-skill, global tech delivery.
