Sarvam Samvaad: Enterprise AI in 11 Indian Languages

Sarvam has introduced Sarvam Samvaad, a new conversational AI platform designed to help enterprises quickly develop, test, and deploy AI agents that can understand and communicate in 11 Indian languages. The launch marks a significant leap forward in India’s effort to localise artificial intelligence solutions and strengthen enterprise-customer engagement across diverse linguistic segments.

Samvaad allows customer-facing AI to function across multiple platforms—telephone, WhatsApp, web, and mobile applications—enabling businesses to serve clients through the communication channels they use most. The system is built to accurately interpret complex inputs, including alphanumerics and proper nouns, and deliver real-time insights from customer interactions.

Fast deployment, local pricing, and broad enterprise uptake

One of Samvaad’s key differentiators is its rapid scalability. According to Sarvam, the platform allows companies to move from pilot to full-scale deployment within days. The product also features pricing models tailored for Indian enterprises, ensuring affordability and accessibility for a wide range of users.

Several major Indian enterprises are already deploying Samvaad at scale, the company said, although specific names were not disclosed. The system’s multilingual capacity is aimed at enhancing customer experience and operational efficiency across geographies and sectors.

Strengthening India’s sovereign AI infrastructure

Samvaad is the latest in a series of launches by Sarvam, which has emerged as one of the earliest companies chosen under the IndiaAI Mission to build foundational Indian large language models (LLMs). Recently, Sarvam also launched Sarvam-Translate, a translation model trained on Gemma3-4B-IT that supports 22 Indian languages for long-form, structured content translation such as LaTeX, HTML, and OCR-processed files.

These developments align with Sarvam’s broader strategy to provide India-specific AI infrastructure. Its flagship Sarvam-M is a 24-billion parameter open-weights hybrid model designed to support AI development in ten Indian languages, including Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, and Malayalam.

Through these efforts, Sarvam is helping to define the future of indigenous AI—bridging linguistic diversity and enterprise need with scalable, sovereign technology.
