Vertiv has announced the launch of its next-generation static transfer switch, the Vertiv™ PowerSwitch 7000, in the Indian market. Designed to serve mission-critical sectors such as data centers, financial services, and advanced manufacturing, the new solution enables uninterrupted operations by delivering seamless power transfers between independent sources. It enhances reliability for both single-corded and dual-corded equipment, and operates within reserve bus and dual-bus power architectures, reinforcing Vertiv’s commitment to providing end-to-end power infrastructure.
The PowerSwitch 7000 builds redundancy directly into its architecture, eliminating single points of failure, and supports facilities that cannot afford any power interruptions. It integrates easily with Vertiv’s broader power management ecosystem—including UPS systems and power distribution units—forming a comprehensive power protection network backed by Vertiv Global Services.
Smarter diagnostics and safer maintenance
Equipped with a 9-inch color touchscreen and advanced waveform capture, the PowerSwitch 7000 offers intelligent diagnostics that support root cause analysis. The platform functions not only as a switching device but also as a diagnostic tool, capturing real-time power measurements during transfer events.

For operators, the device presents several serviceability enhancements. A compartmentalized design separates high-voltage sections from service areas, improving safety and ease of access. Front-access servicing, hot-swappable fan assemblies, modular SCRs, and tool-free air filters further reduce downtime and simplify maintenance.
Flexible deployment and secure remote monitoring
The system is designed for adaptability, supporting both raised and non-raised floor environments through flexible cable entry options. Secure remote monitoring is enabled through Vertiv™ Intellislot™ RDU120, which is UL2900-1 cybersecurity certified—ensuring safe access to system status and diagnostics from anywhere.
With the PowerSwitch 7000 now available in India, Vertiv aims to address the region’s growing demand for dependable power continuity, especially as digital transformation deepens across industries. The launch reflects Vertiv’s strategy to combine intelligent infrastructure solutions with service-focused innovation to support India’s digital growth.
