Akamai Technologies, Inc., a global leader in cybersecurity and cloud computing, has announced the launch of Firewall for AI, a purpose-built security solution designed to protect AI-powered applications from emerging threats such as adversarial inputs, model extraction, and large-scale data scraping.
As enterprises increasingly deploy large language models (LLMs), agentic AI systems, and other advanced AI tools, new vulnerabilities are surfacing — vulnerabilities that traditional web application firewalls (WAFs) were never intended to handle.
